Work you’ll do
- As a software tester you will understand functional requirements and design test scenarios and test cases
- Perform test execution, document defects using defect tracking system and report these to developers
- You will work with functional teams in the project to gather requirements and attend defect management calls
- You will mentor junior members on the project and create functional expertise in end to end modules
- You will be creating automation scripts out of the regression suite of test cases
- You will serve as the quality advocate for your functional areas
Job Description:
- Hands-on experience in writing and executing test scenarios, test cases or automation scripts.
- Hands-on experience in defect logging, tracking and verifying defects
- Experience in managing test environment and implementing builds
- Mentor other team members on product/application features/functionality and domain.
- Involve in knowledge transfer to new team members.
- Study the development scope and identify components that need updates / rework
- Working knowledge on web service testing and respective tools like SOAP UI
- Working knowledge on mobile testing and respective emulators
- Working knowledge of leading automation tools like – HP UFT, Rational Functional Tester, Selenium
- Knowledge of any of DBMS systems like SQL Server 2k5/2k8, Oracle.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
